On the afternoon of November 20, 2024, COSCO Shipping announced that the EU Customs will officially implement new manifest declaration rules. According to the new regulations, all goods destined for or passing through the European Union must submit an entry declaration (ENS) through the EU Import Control System (ICS2).

Starting from today, customers are required to provide the following detailed entry/transit declaration data in accordance with EU requirements:

Detailed and accurate product names are not accepted, and at least a 6-digit HS CODE is required;

The recipient's Economic Operator Registration and Identification Number (EORI) registered in the European Union, or complete recipient address information (including country, city name, street name and number, or post office box number);

Direct customers are required to provide relevant information about the seller and buyer;

The declaring party shall provide its EORI number, or if requesting the shipping company to declare on its behalf, detailed buyer and seller information shall be provided;

Freight forwarders or NVOCCs (Non Vessel Operating Common Carriers) are required to provide the EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) number of the declaring party for House B/L (Freight Forwarder Bill of Lading).
